The badge of graduate from Non-commissioned officer school (Ali-Upseeri Koulu, AUK), year 1940, speciality - 'Heavy Artillery'. The badge is designed in colours of artillery collar tabs (red with black edging), in the middle - the Heavy Artillery symbol, the same look as the military branch symbol on shoulder stripes. The manufacturer - well-known Finnish jewellery firm 'Veljekset Sundquist', their marks are on the rear side of the cross and on the screw-nut.
In the place of finding were positions of 2nd battery of 4th Super Heavy Artillery battalion (2./Jär.Psto 4). The badge possibly was lost by a soldier (it was found in a path between dug-outs, the nut was screwed tight without any traces of clothes under it).
