The basement for Stocks-Brandt 81-mm mortar. These mortars were widely used by the Finnish Army during Winter war and Continuation war. This item is from battlefields of 1944. One can see a handle and loops for a belt to carry it with hand or on the back. 3 hollows in the middle of the basement are made for a end point of a mortar barrel.
On the bottom there are a lot of calks to reduce the movement of the basement on the soil during a shot.
The basement was found on positions completely destroyed after the explosion of prepared for firing shells.
