Finnish buttons.

buttons

Finnish Army buttons. Finns produced rather large amount of button types. Only brass buttons are shown. Most of iron buttons are destroyed by moisture. Black plastic buttons M43 could be found on the battlefields and in dug-outs of 1944. I saw also pewter buttons on brass base (possibly civil buttons).

button M27

And here is a big button for M27 uniform. It has smooth background without vertical incisions as on buttons for M36 uniform, and diameter 24mm instead 22mm of M36. There are interesting imprints on reversr side of this button - something like Prussian imperial eagle of WWI era (made in Germany for Finland???) on 12 o'clock, M. - on 9 o'clock, 24 - on 3 o'clock, 3 stars - on 6 o'clock.
